Poeticlab is an independent design studio founded by lighting designer and stylist Gizem Albohayre.
Rooted in İstanbul and inspired by the poetic potential of form, we create sculptural lighting objects and site-specific atmospheres for both living spaces and cultural settings.

In a world where lighting often imitates, we chose to imagine.
We don’t replicate what’s been done — we reframe what’s been overlooked.
For us, inspiration doesn’t come from catalogs.
It comes from the curve of a sculpture,
the posture of a bird,
the awkward elegance of a forgotten object.
We look at the world not for what it is —
but for what it could become when touched by light.
We believe an object can be more than a function.
It can surprise.
It can play.
It can stop you in your tracks —
like a dress in a window,
a hat on a stranger,
a moment you didn’t expect to matter.
Our creations are not just lights.
